A children's book launch party for Fishscale Girl by Ann Hailey will be held at 10 a.m. at the Vander Veer Botanical Park Conservatory in Davenport.

Reservations are required today for the Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation Lunch and Learn program which will take place Tuesday at noon at the Arsenal Island Golf Course.  John Donald O'Shea will present a program on U.S. Senator John C. Thru Sunday, the 40th annual Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival will be held at various locations in Davenport.  For more information, call 563-324-7170.

The First Fridays Art Stroll featuring artists, performers, and special events, will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at various locations in downtown LeClaire.

The Putnam Museum in Davenport will host PotterPalooza at 6 p.m. featuring science experiments, activities, games, potions, and the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Bring flashlights to explore the museum with the lights off.  Reservations required; call 563-324-1054.

Tomorrow and Sunday, the Genesius Guild will present the locally updated version of the comedy classic The Wasps by Aristophanes at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Classic Theater in Rock Island.
