Retiring Western Illinois University President Al Goldfarb will deliver a Last Lecture on theme Teaching and Learning for a New Era at noon in Room 102 at the WIU-Quad Cities 60th Street campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Bren Tooley will present an International Luncheon talk entitled A Fulbright Scholar’s Experiences an Research on Higher Education in Bulgaria at noon in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the Monmouth College’s Stockdale Center.

Alexandra Douglas, program director for a women's clinic in Burundi, will be present Reflections on Gender, Health, and Development in Burundi in Hanson room 102 of Augustana College at 4 p.m.

Knox College students and faculty in art history will give a talk about a new exhibit in Seymour Library, Media Revolutions in the Age before Print, at an opening reception at 4:00 p.m. on the second floor of the library on the campus in Galesburg. The exhibit will be on display through June 3. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

The Quad Cities Human Trafficking Project will be holding a meeting on at 5:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bettendorf.  They invite the public to come hear what has done and what more can be done in the community to combat trafficking.

Moline Preservation Society will host a presentation on the John Deere Family and their houseboats at Butterworth Center at 7 p.m.  For more information, call 563-823-0792.

James Bond author Raymond Benson will present The James Bond Phenomenon at 7 p.m. at the Bettendorf Library. For more information, call 563-344-4175.

Collegia Classica will be screening Marcel Camus' 1959 film Black Orpheus at 7:30 p.m. in Science room 304 of Augustana College.  A brief discussion will follow.

Thursday thru Saturday, the comedy The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr - Abridged will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in Room 306 of Building 1 of Black Hawk College in Moline. For more information, call 309-796-5381.

Opening Thursday, Quad City Music Guild will present SHOUT! The Mod Musical at Prospect Park Theater in Moline at 7:30 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday; and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For tickets of more information, call 309-762-6610.
