An opening reception for the next St. Ambrose University Catich Gallery show Recent Paintings: works by T.L. Solien will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the gallery, located in the Galvin Fine Arts Center. The show, which is free and open to the public, will run through April 15. On Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., the Dubuque Symphony will present works by Bach and Mozart at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque.  The Dubuque Chorale will join the symphony to perform Magnificat, one of Bach’s greatest chorale works.  For more information, visit the Dubuque Symphony website.

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Plog, Williams, Daugherty, and Holst as part of their Masterworks V concert.  The concert will be held at 8 p.m. at the Adler Theatre in Davenport on Saturday, and at 2 p.m. in Augustana College’s Centennial Hall on Sunday.
