Carl Sandburg College will host the 30th annual Worldwide Youth in Science & Engineering Academic Challenge from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Theatre in Building F on the Main Campus. Participants for the event are juniors and seniors from area high schools. For more information, call 309-341-5443.

A Meet the Artists reception will be held for the Works of Heart Art Show at the DeWitt Opera House Theater from 1 to 4 p.m. and also 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit will be on display in the theater’s gallery through March 10. For more information, call 563-659-4100.

A discussion of Peter Burchard's work One Gallant Rush: Robert Gould Shaw and his Brave Black Regiment with the Civil War Book Discussion group will be held at the Moline Library at 6:30 p.m. For information, call 309-524-2470.

An Accessory Swap Meet will be held at the Quad City Botanical Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the entrance fee will be used to help support the mission of the Botanical Center. For more information, contact Beth at 309-794-0991 ext. 30.

The Quad city Audubon Society will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Butterworth Center in Moline. Mary Lou Petersen will present Changes in Bird Watching since 1950. The meeting is free and open to the public. For information, call 309-799-7192.

Tonight and Saturday, The Vagina Monologues will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Denkmann Memorial Building of Augustana College. Proceeds will go toward the prevention of violence against women. For more information, call 309-794-7306.
