Isabel Bloom sculptor Donna Young will guide students through creating a low-relief sculpture, molds and plaster castings in a four week course beginning tonight at 6 p.m. For more information or to register, call 563-326-7804 ext. 2045.

The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine will host a Mini Medical School program at the Health Education Center of Genesis Medical Center East in Davenport with check in beginning at 6 p.m. Darren Hoffmann will present Dissecting Your Health in a Virtual Anatomy Laboratory Experience and Roger Gingrich will discuss Breakthroughs in Cancer Research. Angie Snook, curator of the Geneseo Historical Museum, will present Preserving Family Objects: Documents, Photos and Beyond at 6 p.m. at the Geneseo Library. For more information, call (309) 944-6452

The Swenson Center is hosting a Book Club at 6:30 p.m. in Denkmann Hall at Augustana College. This month’s selection is Shuttle in her Hand by Marion Tuttle Marzolf. The next and last meeting, on March 8, will be Swedish Oregon, edited by Lars Nordstrom. For more information, call 309-794-7204.

A program on Winter Ecology will be presented at 6:30 p.m. at the Watch Tower Lodge of Black Hawk State Historic Site in Rock Island. The Mississippi Valley Blues Society welcomes Doktu Rhute Muuzic to the Quad-Cities for the Blues in the Schools Artists in Residence series. In addition to doing workshops at area schools, Doktu Rhute will hold three free, public performances: on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Borders in Davenport; on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Mojo’s in the River Music Experience; and on Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Bettendorf Public Library.

On Thursday and Saturday, The Vagina Monologues will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Denkmann Memorial Building of Augustana College. Proceeds will go toward the prevention of violence against women. For more information, call 309-794-7306.

The DubuqueFest Fine Arts Festival is now accepting applications for the 33rd annual juried fine art fair scheduled for May 21 & 22 in Washington Park in downtown Dubuque. The application deadline is April 1. Applications are available on the DubuqueFest website or by calling Paula at 563-564-5290.
