Ken Lilly of IDES will present a workshop on completing the RI Arsenal Resumix application at 9 a.m. in the Meeting Rooms of the Moline Public Library.

The Andover Historical Society will hold its next meeting on February 15. It starts with lunch at 1 pm at the Andover Cafe, followed by the meeting at the American Woman's League building. The program will feature a speech by Mark Twain to the Grand Army of the Republic in 1879.

A Winter Wings program on bats and snowy owls will be begin at 6:30 p.m. at Watch Tower Lodge of Black Hawk State Historic Site. For more information, call 309-292-0690.

Tomorrow, Rabbi Rachel Barenblat will give a talk, Midrash: Creativity Which Transforms, at 7 p.m. in Ferris Lounge in the Seymour Union of Knox College in Galesburg. The talk is free and open to the public.

The Midwest Writing Center’s 3rd Annual Iron Pen 24-hour Writing Contest will begin Friday, February 18.  Entrants will receive this year’s theme by email that day and will have 24 hours to write a fiction, non-fiction or poetry piece.  For more information, call 563-324-1410.

The DubuqueFest Fine Arts Festival is now accepting applications for the 33rd annual juried fine art fair scheduled for May 21 & 22 in Washington Park in downtown Dubuque.  The application deadline is April 1.
