Quad City area youth entering 3rd-5th grade this fall are invited to attend the third annual Enviro-Kids, an environmental education program that meets five Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon throughout the summer. The unsettled state of America in early 1861 just prior to the outbreak of war will be the focus of a Civil War Sesquicentennial lecture America – Whither? to be presented at 1 p.m. at the Carl Sandburg State Historic Site in Galesburg.  The lecture is free and open to the public.

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra 2nd Fiddle Sale will be held at the former Premier Home Furnishings in the Village Shopping Center in Davenport.
