This week’s River Action’s Riverine Walk will be Explore Sylvan Island and Sylvan Slough Natural Area.  The walk will begin at 6:30 tonight and at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the entrance to Sylvan Island at 1st Avenue and 2nd Street in Moline. Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

East Moline Music in the Park will present The Navy Band Great Lakes Brass Ambassadors at 7 p.m. at The Quarter Welcome Center in East Moline. A free shuttle from John Deere Harvester will be available starting at 6 p.m. Bring chairs.  For more information, call 309-796-0170.

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra 2nd Fiddle Sale will be held at the former Premier Home Furnishings in the Village Shopping Center in Davenport. Times are 6 to 9 p.m.  on Thursday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.  Thursday’s preview sale has an admission price, but is free Friday-Saturday.  Proceeds will go toward the symphony's education programs.  For more information, call 563-322-0931.

On Saturday, auditions for Quad City Singers will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Sudlow Intermediate School in Davenport.  Singers must be at least 21, provide sheet music, and perform two 30-second selections.
