The Genesis Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a five-dollar jewelry sale from 7 a.m to 6 p.m. at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport. For more information, call 563-421-7615.

Today and Thursday, the Channel Cat Talk Campbell’s Island will begin at 9 a.m. at the Celebration Belle Landing in Moline. Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

For the next meeting of the Andover Historical Society, Ann Boaden will discuss the new book Reflecting on the Past: 150 years of Augustana Stories. The meeting will begin with lunch at 1 p.m. at the Andover Cafe, followed by the presentation at 2 at the American Woman's League Building.

Quad City Singers will perform for the Midsummer Knight's Read Medieval Faire at the Moline Library beginning at 6 p.m. There also will be storytelling, a tournament, and crafts.  For more information, call 309-524-2470.

The Genesius Guild will present the comedy The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare next Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Classic Theater in Rock Island.
