On Saturday, River Action’s Riverine Walk will be Explore Sylvan Island and Sylvan Slough Natural Area.  The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at the entrance to Sylvan Island at 1st Avenue and 2nd Street in Moline. Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

On Saturday, auditions for Quad City Singers will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Sudlow Intermediate School in Davenport.  Singers must be at least 21, provide sheet music, and perform two 30-second selections.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Genesius Guild will present the comedy The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Classic Theater in Rock Island.
