Today and Thursday, the Channel Cat Talk River Landscape Mosaic will begin at 9 a.m. at the Celebration Belle Landing in Moline. Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

Dianna Blake will present Three Sisters' Garden: An American Indian Tale for students entering grades 1 thru 6 at 1 p.m. at the Eldridge Library. She will tell stories and help students create a garden to take home. Registration required; call 563-285-4794.

On Tuesdays thru July 12, Medieval Math for Grades 1 and up will off hands-on math projects with tutor Elizabeth Russell at the Rock Island Main Library Children’s Room beginning at 3:15 p.m.

Lipbone Redding and The Lipbone Orchestra will give a workshop at 5:30 p.m. at Mojo's Cafe, River Music Experience in Davenport.  The Lipbone Orchestra will then perform at 7 p.m.  For more information, call 563-326-1555.

The Rock Island Library Ridgewood branch will hold a Knightly Tourney for ages 12 to 18 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Participants will practice archery, horseless jousting, sword-fighting, and other combat skills with substitute gear. Prizes will be awarded.  For more information, call 309-732-7323.

On Tuesdays thru July 19, the Davenport Fairmount St. Library will hold Family Fun Night with the Putnam Museum at 6 p.m.  Activities will be based on the Putnam’s exhibits including Egyptian mummies, the wreck of the Titanic, and more. For more information, call 563-326-7893.

The Ambassadors will play for a Starlight Revue concert at Lincoln Park in Rock Island at 7 p.m.  For more information, call 309-732-7275.

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra 2nd Fiddle Sale will be held at the former Premier Home Furnishings in the Village Shopping Center in Davenport. Times are 6 to 9 p.m.  on Thursday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.  Thursday’s preview sale has an admission price, but is free Friday-Saturday.  Proceeds will go toward the symphony's education programs.  For more information, call 563-322-0931.
