The Quad City Animal Welfare Center will offer Kind Kids Camp for children 7 to 12 today and tomorrow from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  A second session is Wednesday and Thursday, July 6th and 7th. The program is free, but space is limited.  For more information, call 309-787-6830 ext.12.

Today and tomorrow, Loras College will host the Summer Leadership Institute.  This year’s theme is Responding to Change.  Katarina Schuth will present the keynote address Our Hearts Are Restless: Adapting to Changing Personnel, Structures, and Programs.  For more information, call 563-588-7239.

Carl Sandburg College will host an open house for the College for Seniors program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Building G on the Main Campus in Galesburg.  For more information, call 309-345-3506.

Today, Genesis will offer CarFit Education to give older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles fit them and learn how to avoid serious injuries in a crash.  The events will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport. River Action’s Riverine Walk Hennepin Canal: Historic Landmark and Recreational Gem will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the canal bridge a mile and a half east of Colona.  Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

Tomorrow, the Channel Cat Talk Investigate Arsenal Island History will begin at 9 a.m. at the Celebration Belle Landing in Moline. Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

The traveling exhibit The Fiery Trial: Iowa and the Civil War will be in Muscatine July 1 thru 4 on 4th Street north of the Muscatine County Court House.  Volunteers are needed to assist visitors. For further information, call 563-263-8895.

Over the next two weekends, the Genesius Guild will present the tragedy Ajax by Sophocles at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Classic Theater in Rock Island.
