Sharing Our Stories: What Influenced You as a Student at Augustana? will be the convocation program at 10:30 a.m. at Centennial Hall of Augustana College. Five professors will speak in celebration of the college's sesquicentennial. For more information, call 309-794-7306.

The Davenport Public Library is currently looking for kids, ages 9 to 12, to join the readers’ theatre program. Open casting will be held today at 4:00 p.m. at the main library. Today through Sunday, the annual Milan Indian Summer Festival will be held at Dickson Park featuring a carnival, pageants, bingo and more. Live music will begin each night at 8 p.m. A parade is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The 2010 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winning documentary RESTREPO is opening at the Rave Motion Pictures Davenport 53. The film was shot in eastern Afghanistan’s Korengal Valley by embedded journalists Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger.

Tomorrow, Monmouth College’s 16th Annual Cultural Festival will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the college’s Dunlap Terrace. The festival will feature free food, exhibits from around the world, and entertainment provided by the Mexican Folkloric Dance. In the event of rain, the festival will be moved inside the Stockdale Center.
