The 39th Annual Swedish autumn festival will be held today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bishop Hill State Historic Site featuring demonstrations, performances, food, music, dance and games. The event is free and open to the public.

Actors in costume will portray some of Moline's early citizens in Echoes From Riverside: Gone, But Not Forgotten, starting from the Riverside Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum in Moline beginning at 1 p.m. For more information, call 309-797-0790.

Monday, September 27

Help support the Quad City Botanical Center by donating items for their Rummage Sale. Donations will be accepted this Monday thru Thursday from 9 to 5 p.m. at the center in Rock Island. The Rummage Sale will be held October 1 and 2 from 9 to 3 p.m.

The Rock Island County 4-H is having a free Open House to find out about their programs from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at 321 West 2nd Ave. in Milan. There will be fun activity stations where kids can explore the many clubs, plus healthy snacks, and games for the whole family to enjoy. For more information or to RSVP, call 309-756-9978 ext. 10.
