Solo Greene, an educational specialist with the Nez Perce tribe of northern Idaho, will present a series of motivational lectures this week at Black Hawk College. At 8 a.m. today and Thursday, Greene will perform traditional songs and talk about the experiences, traditions and history of Nez Perce people. Both programs will be in Building 1, Room 101G at the college’s Moline Campus.  On Wednesday, he will give a free public lecture Stop, Look, and Listen at 7:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Rock Island.  For more information, call 309-796-5433.

The Andover Historical Society’s next meeting will start at 1 p.m. at the Andover Cafe followed by the meeting at 2 p.m. at the American Woman's League Building.  Roald Tweet will be the guest speaker and will discuss Mark Twain and Samuel Clemens.
