Kevin Goodwin, president and CEO of SonoSite, and an alumnus of Monmouth College, will present the Wendell Whiteman Memorial Lecture at 11 a.m. in the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium, entitled From Monmouth College to CEO.  The talk is free and open to the public.

Nearly 30 businesses are planning to participate in the annual Ashford University Career Fair which will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. in Ashford’s Durgin Educational Center in Clinton. Non-profit agencies and for profit businesses will have employment information booths at the fair and refreshments will be served. J.Q. Adams will deliver the lecture The U.S. Census: How Its Racial Categories Have Shaped American Identity at 3 p.m. in Room 102 of the Western Illinois University’s Moline campus.

NAPM of the Quad Cities, the local affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management, will hold its monthly dinner meeting on Wednesday, April 13, at the Stoney Creek Inn in Moline. This month’s speaker will be Jim Bergman, CEO of Global Supply Management, Inc. Networking begins at 5:30 followed by dinner at 6:00.
