DubuqueFest Fine Arts Festival celebrates its 34th year today thru Sunday, with a weekend packed full of free music, art, and culture for all ages.  For complete information, consult the website at DubuqueFest.org.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Colonel Davenport House on the north shore of Arsenal Island will host I Spy History Day for Kids from noon to 4 p.m. There will be a scavenger hunt and spinning demonstrations. A photo ID is required for ages 16 and up. For more information, call 309-786-7336.

Auditions for Genesius Guild productions will be held at Lincoln Park Classic Theater in Rock Island at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The shows are The Taming of the Shrew, Ajax, King Lear, and The Wasps.

The Rock Island Arsenal will host an Armed Forces Day open house from noon to 4 p.m. It will include a parade at noon, primarily along Rodman Avenue. There will be tours of the island, Quarters 1, and the Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center. The Arsenal Museum, Mississippi River Visitor Center, and Navy & Marine Reserve Center will be open.
