The Figge Art Museum is offering an information session on the museum’s Candidate Docent Training Program at 10:30 a.m.  The session is free, but reservations are appreciated.  Call Ann Marie Hayes-Hawkinson at 563-326-7804 ext. 7887.

River Action’s Riverine Walk Pre-Civil War Village of East Davenport will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the east side of Prospect Terrace Overlook in Davenport.  The program will be repeated Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the same location.  Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

Harrison Hilltop Theatre will present the musical The Last Five Years at The District Theatre in Rock Island on Wednesday and Friday at 8 p.m. and on Saturday at 2 p.m. For tickets or more information, call 309-235-1654.

On Friday, the Bucktown Bash anniversary party will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bucktown Center for the Arts in Davenport featuring art exhibits, music, a locally produced film, books by local authors, and more. For information, call 563-324-1410.

This weekend and next, the Genesius Guild will present The Wasps by Aristophanes at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Park Classic Theater in Rock Island.

Thru Aug. 13, Circa ’21 in Rock Island will present the musical Hairspray. For tickets or more information, call 309-786-7733, ext. 2.

Living Lands and Waters needs help finishing a floating classroom and is looking for skilled carpenters, plumbers, HVAC, electricians to volunteer to join their crew.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact Ashley at 309-496-9848.

Humility of Mary Housing is looking for donations for its 21st annual Fresh Start Benefit Sale to be held at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds August 17 thru 20.  The new drop off location for the sale is 2906 Brady Street in Davenport and donations will be accepted now through August 12.  All proceeds from the Fresh Start Sale benefit Humility of Mary Housing, Inc., celebrating 20 years of success helping homeless single-parent families return to self-sufficiency.
