Youthfest will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centennial Park in Davenport featuring an obstacle course, bounce houses, basketball, skateboarding, chalk art, recycled kite-making, and youth gardening demonstrations.  For more information, call 563-324-3881.

The Figge Art Museum is offering a free information session on the museum’s Candidate Docent Training Program at 10:30 a.m.  The Training Program will run September 7 to December 14.  The information session is free, but reservations are appreciated. Children's musician Thaddeus Rex will perform at 6:30 p.m. for Music on the Lawn at the Deere-Wiman House in Moline.  For more information, call 309-743-270.

River Action’s Riverine Walk Credit Island and War of 1812 will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Credit Island boat ramp in Davenport.  The program will be repeated Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the same location.  Pre-registration is required; call 563-322-2969.

The Richmond Hill Players will present a special Wednesday performance of the comedy The Importance of Being Earnest at the Barn Theater in Geneseo.  The show will benefit St. Viator High School in Corozal, Belize.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  Regular performances are Thursday thru Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 4 p.m.  For tickets or more information, call 309-944-2244.
