Bruce Polay and Sarah Moran will present a lecture and performance, Two Songs on Texts of Robert Frost by Bruce Polay at 4 p.m. in Kresge Hall of Knox College’s Ford Center for the Fine Arts in Galesburg. The performance is free and open to the public.

First Lutheran Church in Rock Island will host an open-mic coffeehouse from 7 to 10 p.m. Musicians and poets are welcome. Proceeds will benefit the St. Joe's Evening Meal program at Rock Island Township. For more information, call 309-788-9661.

The Knox College Choir will perform a student composition Requiem Aeternam as part of the choir's free, public fall concert at 7:30 p.m. in Kresge Hall in the Ford Center for the Fine Arts in Galesburg. The 50-voice choir also will perform music by Monteverdi, Tomas Luis de Victoria, and Estonian composer Veljo Tormis.
