The Tri-City Jewish Center in Rock Island will host a discussion of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury at 10 a.m. as part of the Big Read series. For information, call 309-793-1300.

The Scandinavian Department of Augustana and the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center are hosting a film festival this week called Beyond Bergman: Modern Swedish Film. Tonight’s film, Together, will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Hanson Hall of Science. The films are all in Swedish with English subtitles and may have content not be suitable for children.
