Beginning today and running through Friday, Timber Lake Playhouse's production of Hyronomous A. Frog, The Frog Prince will jump-start their 49th season. Showtimes are 9:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. For more information or for reservations, call 815-244-2035.

Tomorrow, Progressive Action for the Common Good will sponsor a program at 7 pm at the Bettendorf Library on the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.

Tomorrow, University of Illinois at Chicago Professor Stephen Warner will give a public lecture entitled Race and Religion in the American Republic at 7:30 p.m. in room 304 of the Science Building of Augustana College.

On Thursday, the 12th annual St. Ambrose University Social Justice Conference will take place from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Rogalski Center. Keynote speaker Edward Lawlor will review implications of the recent federal health care reform legislation. For more information, call 563-333-3919.

Opening this Friday, the Prenzie Players will present Cyrano de Bergerac at their theater space at 1616 2nd Ave. in Rock Island. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. this Sunday. Next Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the shows are all at 8 p.m.
