The Anime Club will meet 5:30 p.m. at the Davenport Fairmount St. Library. This year the club will include drawing workshops, explorations of Japanese language and culture, and more. Registration is not required. For information, contact Christie at 563-326-7832.

On Saturday, the 26th Annual Bald Eagle Watch will be held at Clinton Community College in Clinton beginning at 8:30 a.m. Lectures and other activities will be held at the college. Eagle viewing will be held at Lock and Dam 13 in Fulton. Due to limited parking at the Lock, participants are encouraged to use the courtesy bus service from the campus. On Saturday, the Prenzie Players will hold the annual Twelfth Night Gala at 7:30 p.m. at The Curtainbox Theatre Company Offices and Conservatory in Davenport. On Saturday, Showcase Cinemas 53 in Davenport will host a Live in HD broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera's Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss at noon. The high-definition broadcast will be transmitted via satellite from New York City. It will be subtitled. Tickets will be available at the door.

The Rock Island County Extension and Snowstar Ski in Andalusia are offering a 6 week Learn to Ski or Snowboard program for youth ages 9 and older for both beginner and experienced skiiers.
